Steve has always loved the water as you can see from his paintings.  Steve has been surfing since the age of 11, when his uncle, Hop Swarts gave him his first surfboard.  Hop Swarts was the surfer from Redondo/Hermosa Beach who started the United States Surfing Association.  Steve has always been extremely artistic throughout his life which is most apparent in the creative nature of his paintings, photography, music and videography.
